Call for Proposals – 2021 Pre-College & Youth Outreach Virtual Conference
The time has come! The Michigan Pre-College & Youth Conference 2021 is now accepting proposals!
We are seeking proposals that address some of the current challenges in pre-college and youth outreach. Proposals will be organized into the following tracks:
–> Rebuilding Pre-College Programs: Laying a Strong Foundation for Students
–> Student Voices
–> Youth Mental Health and Wellness
–> Building Engagement & Encouraging Community in Online Programming
Importantly, these tracks are broad descriptions, and if you have even the slightest inclination to share anything related to pre-college and youth outreach with a broader audience, we encourage you to submit a proposal using the Proposal Submission Form!
Similar to last year, we will be utilizing a variety of formats during this year’s conference:
–> Presentations (25 minutes) – A typical conference “talk”. Plan for 20 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of Q & A. Does not need to be interactive but may include audience participation.
–> Workshops (50 minutes) – Must include audience engagement or activity session. Max of 25-minute presentation time, with the remainder of the time for audience participation and activities.
–> Posters (with 3-to-5-minute video) – Videos should explain and expand on content presented in the poster.
*Full descriptions of each track and format are available in the Proposal Submission Form. Check it out!*
More information about registration for the conference will be coming soon, so keep an eye out. Just a quick reminder, the date for the conference is Thursday, October 21st, 2021. You do not want to miss the early bird registration discount!
