On October 21, 2022, the statewide Pre-College and Youth Outreach Conference (PCC) will be hosted for the first time in Grand Rapids, MI, by Grand Valley State University. Reflecting on the important challenge before us, this year’s theme is Mind the GAP: Building Bridges for Bouncing Back.
We bring Michigan’s outreach professionals together so they can connect, share promising practices, and strengthen our support system for Michigan’s K-12 students. To do this, we need you—by partnering with us and sponsoring this year’s conference, you can help us begin this process of building back from the pandemic.

This annual conference promotes college access in Michigan. Bringing together Michigan’s leaders in education, workforce development, and government, provides the opportunity and venue for critical stakeholders to work together to advance this goal. Scholars, researchers, and practitioners will share and collaborate on the ideas, approaches, and practices needed to inform, engage, and inspire our nation’s youth.
This conference is organized and planned by 16 institutions, which include Bowling Green State University, Calvin University, Eastern Michigan University, Grand Rapids Public Schools, Grand Valley State University, Michigan College Access Network, Michigan College Access Programs Personnel, Michigan Technological University, Michigan Independent Colleges and Universities, Michigan State University, Oakland University, Saginaw Valley State University, State of Michigan, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, Wayne State University, and Western Michigan University.
